Advancer Fuel Saving Promise wins a Challenge Possible Award

As a company under the Trane Technologies umbrella, we share their ambition to act on the challenges and changes in the modern world and see them as opportunities. Opportunities to think bigger. To act bolder. And this hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Every year, initiatives that embody that ambition are nominated for the Change Possible awards. On March 10th, Trane Technologies CEO, Dave Regnery, and Chief Human Resources Operator, Mairéad Magner, proudly announced that our Advancer Fuel Savings Promise had won the Change Possible Award in the category of Environmental Sustainability. This exclusive award reinforces that Thermo King is committed to driving the change towards a more sustainable cold chain.

Helping realize the largest climate commitment in B2B

Advancer is the most fuel efficient trailer refrigeration unit on the market today. Due to its carbon-neutral production process, lower fuel consumption and lower CO² emissions, Advancer has contributed 3.2 million tonnes of CO² savings in the Trane Technologies Gigatonne Challenge. This is Trane Technologies’ goal to reduce our customers’ carbon footprint by one billion metric tons by 2030, which is the largest customer climate commitment made by any B2B company.

The Advancer Fuel Saving Promise

With Advancer we make a statement. A statement of innovation, of sustainability, of radical fuel savings. We are so confident in that statement, that we’re willing to make our customers a promise and even put our money on the line.

To prove Advancer’s fuel saving efficiency, we’ve enabled our customers to calculate their own fuel-savings per year, when switching to Advancer. Our promise? If their Advancer doesn’t meet its fuel-saving target after 1 year, we’ll pick up the bill.

A promise like that takes a great deal of confidence, so it’s not hard to imagine why this Fuel Saving Promise is an industry first. But it also sends a message. A message that Thermo King is investing the future, and that we’re serious about it.
