The E-Series expands: all-new, all-electric TRUs for vans and trucks

At Thermo King when we make a promise, we stick to it - as can be seen in our on-going commitment to helping customers electrify their fleets.

Starting with the E-200, we’ve led the market in developing eTRUs that are designed from the ground up for all-electric operations. The result is the E-Series range, which delivers a distinct electric edge:

• For customers, it means a single, comprehensive series of eTRUs that deliver eye-catching electric performance and energy efficiency
• For dealers, it’s about giving you a compelling all-electric story that stands you out from the competition

The next step is to complete our portfolio of eTRUs so we can provide end-to-end coverage for all vehicle types in a refrigerated fleet. And as recently announced at this year’s IAA event in Hannover, that’s exactly what we’ve done.

New products, new possibilities

Let’s start first with the big introduction. Thermo King’s all-electric E-Series range has expanded and now offers:

• The E-100e and E-200e Spectrum for vans and small trucks (up to 3.5 tons) for last-mile deliveries
• The E-1200e that deliver all-electric, single-, and multi-temperature refrigeration for large trucks

Combined with other electric units like Advancer-e Spectrum, these new eTRUs help complete an end-to-end, all-electric offering packed full of future-ready innovations.

The E-Series for vans and small trucks

The headlines here are a compact design with fewer parts that’s built to fit any van. An eTRU that’s made for the all-electric last mile, enabling even the smallest vehicle to perform big. Hence the tagline: mini size, massive performance. 

With the E-100e and E-200e Spectrum, customers now have single and multi-temperature, all-electric options for vans and LCVs. The result is flexible and powerful cooling for the all-electric last mile that gives you 4 primary benefits to discuss with customers:

With the E-1200e comes another lead story: the electric unit your truck can’t resist. A claim made possible by the fact that these units are designed to give large trucks everything they want. From a full-electric architecture to an irresistible design, Thermo King has first understood our customers’ precise needs, then built eTRUs to tick every box.

The result is all-electric, single- and multi-temperature refrigeration for large trucks – as well as 4 key customer advantages:
